This is the 'Car Balance Analysis' screen showing Left Cross %. This is the overall balance of a race car base on
tire temperatures. The red line indicates the car's handling is loose. The are several suggested methods of
correcting the loose condition. Other Car Balanced Analysis is Left % and Rear %.
A perfectly balance race car will idealy have 50% for Left %, Rear % and Left Cross %. Most race cars never
achive 50% on all car balance percentages, however the closer to 50% you get any of the percentages, the faster
your car will become. Tire temperatures are primarily generated in the corners and is the resultant of all of the
suspension component, the track surface and the acceleration, deceleration and body roll making tire temperature
dynamic. An example would be to compare the dynamic Left % to the static Left % (from scales). If the scaled
left percent was 50% and tire temperature Left% is 48%, then the static percent should be increased to 52% by moving
weight if possible.
Optimizing the overall car balance using tire temperatures is a important elements towards making your car the fastest
in you class.
